Calvin College
Mr. Bratt graduated from Calvin College with degrees in psychology and elementary education. He began teaching at RCS in 1988, after having worked a few years in a mental hospital and a halfway house in Grand Rapids, MI. He teaches 7th and 8th grade science and math, 7th grade geography, and 1st - 8th grade physical education. He especially enjoys showing the students how awesome God is through the scientific study of his creation, right down to the last detail. His spiritual dream is to see his students enter into a relationship with Jesus Christ and discover what God would have them do for him while they are on this earth.
Mr. Bratt is 25 years on his way to forever together with his wife Carol. Together, they have two sons, Karl and Nolan. Karl is a freshman at Calvin College and Nolan is a freshman at Horlick High School. Mr. Bratt thoroughly enjoys vacations with his family, and loves to play piano, fish, golf, and be in nature, especially enjoying the birds. One of his favorite passages of scripture is Romans 8:1, which says, "There is therefore, now, no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." This passage sums up the hope that is available for my students, myself, and mankind.
